A weather delay couldn't rain on the parade of the Texas A&M Aggies.
Texas A&M defeated Florida, 3-2, on Saturday in the opening round of the 2024 Men's College World Series following a four-hour weather delay at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. The game was originally scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. ET, but thunderstorms pushed the first pitch back until 11:15 p.m. ET. Caden Sorrell had a pair of hits, including a double, an RBI and a run scored for the Aggies.
Earlier Saturday, Kentucky won in dramatic fashion in extra innings. The Wildcats beat the NC State Wolfpack after Kentucky third baseman Mitchell Daly hit a walk off home run in the 10th inning to win 5-4.
Kentucky's win set up a showdown against Texas A&M on Monday.
