Beyoncé's childhood home in flames on Christmas Day: local reports

Beyoncé's childhood home caught fire Christmas morning in Houston, according to multiple local news sources.
Media reports in Houston said the brick house on Rosedale Street caught fire early Monday. Houston Fire Department personnel arrived to see the second story engulfed in flames, ABC13 in Houston reported.
Houston Fire Department Public Information Officer Martee Black didn't immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for a comment.
The current residents of the Riverside Terrace home escaped their own and weren't injured in the blaze, the TV station reported. Fire crews put the fire out quickly before more damage could occur.
According to Harris County property records, the three-bedroom home was built in 1946 and remodeled in 2016. It's classified as a French traditional home.
A realtor listed the home for sale several years ago, noting in the listing it's an "early childhood home" of Beyoncé. It was purchased in May 2019 for between $420,001 and $482,000.
That realtor told Good Morning America in 2018 the Knowles family bought the home in 1982 and lived there until Beyoncé was about 5.
