'Sex Education' Season 4 release date
The eight-episode season will debut globally on Netflix on Thursday, Sept. 21. Netflix generally releases new shows worldwide at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT.
Why is ‘Sex Education’ ending?
In July, Netflix announced the fourth season of "Sex Education" would be its last.
Creator Laurie Nunn said she was “incredibly proud” of what the series has accomplished in the last four years, according to Netflix.
“We ... feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who put so much heart into making every episode. They have worked tirelessly to bring you the final series, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
When Nunn and her writers began scripting the fourth season, they weren’t sure it would be the show’s last, according to Tudum by Netflix.
“But during that process, it just started to feel very clear that the stories were coming to an end, the characters were being left in a place that I felt really good about it. I felt happy for them, and I felt like I’ve said everything that I want to say with these characters at this time.”
