Niners celebrate clinching NFC's top seed while watching tiny TV in FedExField locker room

The San Francisco 49ers had more than one reason to celebrate on Sunday following their 27-10 road victory over the Washington Commanders.
After they did their job on the field, the Niners gathered to watch the final moments of the Philadelphia Eagles-Arizona Cardinals game to see if they would wrap up the NFC's top overall seed and a first-round bye in the upcoming playoffs with an Eagles loss.
While some players in the tunnel exiting FedExField saw the Cardinals pull off the upset on a reporter's cell phone, others jammed themselves into a corner of the visitors locker room to watch the final seconds of the game on a tiny television screen.

Afterwards, Niners quarterback Brock Purdy said it was "special" to be able to share that moment with his teammates the way he remembered seeing other teams do it when he was growing up.

"This was something I'd seen on TV growing up and now we get to all cram into a corner of the locker room and watch on a little TV," Purdy said.
To put things in perspective, Purdy just turned 24 last week, which makes him a couple years younger than FedExField itself (which opened Sept. 14, 1997).
Considering the stadium's long list of structural and other issues, one has to wonder if Purdy just might be younger than that television set as well.
